The Outdoor Experience originated in August of 1998. The decision to open a retail store came about after several years of working in the professional world. We found ourselves working very hard for someone else and decided that working for ourselves would be more fulfilling.

Being outdoor enthusiasts, we came up with the idea of a retail store specializing in outdoor recreation. We felt not only would we be selling products we used and believed in, but we could also encourage others to enjoy nature and respect the environment.

Our brands are chosen based on the integrity of the manufacturer and durability of the products. Although high end, they are designed to last for many years with most offering a lifetime warrranty. Selling reputable products and providing alternative methods of recreation we feel we are making a positive contribution to our community.
